The tectile book titled „Woodland animals” was made by hand with animal furs, cotton, linen, cardboard, plastic foil and glass beads. The publication features illustrations meant to familiarize the child with the texture and shape of animals living in Polish forests. Embroidered cover was made from linen and each of the cotton pages is filled with thick cardboard. Written text with information about the animal have been printed on a transparent foil. It’s meant to ensure the longevity of the book, prevent it from getting dirty and shabby, a common problem when dealing with paper pages. Animal silhouettes are presented from the side and true to the original. Each illustration is made from different, genuine fur or coat of the presented animal and a bead represening the animal’s eye. The book is intended for children ages 4 to 9. The publication includes a spot for possible text written in braile. The book earned an award in a competition for textile books for sight impaired children
